그럭저럭 영어로 의사소통하다.

저는 영어를 잘 못하지만, 대충 의사소통은 할 수 있어요.

이런 표현들은 어떻게 영어로 말할 수 있을까?

make (sb) understood

를 사용하면 된다.

예)

I can make myself understood in English.

He can make himself understood in Japanese.

​

I can speak English a little. 해도 외국인이 이해할 수는 있지만,

make (sb) understood 를 사용하는 순간, 아이러니 하게도, 이미 영어를 그럭저럭 말하는 수준이 아닌게 된다.
